I’m not very happy with this quick sketch of my husband reading. But I am–thanks to a lot of your examples–enjoying working in pen and ink. I erase so much when I draw in pencil or charcoal I thought ink would be impossible. But if I remember to draw lightly it works. Getting a likeness is tricky, at least for me, even with a face covered in whiskers!







The drawing looks great to me. I have to say, a big part of my efforts this month have been to gain the confidence to just sit down and draw without being fiddly and second guessing myself. The idea of a sketch is to work with authority to quickly capture something. I like the transition from the shirt to the more fully rendered head. Nice work.
