Inspired by Indias jar earlier this week I decided to give my jar full of buttons a try. (Because I’m a lazy person and didn’t have the engergy to save the highlights out, I just splashed on some white guache.)
Thank you Kim. I often feel like I don’t know what I’m doing when I draw stuff like this. I try to look for contrasts and different colors and just keep on adding stuff until it looks a complete mess. But then when I look at the drawing the next day it sort of works anyway.
is finally shaking off a gnarly cold (#2 for the season), and will resume transmission shortly. And with great vigor. Day 30! --> 3 months ago

Hey, whatever works—if I had any white gouache, I’d use it. Being gouache-deprived, however, I have to do it the low-tech way.
You could try correction fluid (not sure what you call it). It’s white, it covers stuff, and it’s usally lying around in the office …
;-)
I know what you mean, but it’s not lying around my office. My last bottle at home dried up a long time ago, and at work my desk came with this stuff.
I suppose they must sell gouache somewhere . . .
Hm … you think? My gouache is so old I can’t remember how I got it. I was starting to think that it came with my desk.
Wonderful. I love the way you captured the glass.

Hey, that’s the way I draw!
